DO NOT over stretch the mould or impression mat when removing your pieces as this can shorten the lifespan of your mould by reducing the integrity of the product and risk tearing.

DO NOT expose mould or Impression mat to temperatures above 400° F / 204° C. They can however be placed in a freezer without damage or loss of flexibility.

ALWAYS make sure your moulds and impression mats are clean and completely dry before storing them. Silicone moulds and impressions mats should be stored flat with nothing stored on top of them that may squash or compromise their natural shape.

ALWAYS clean your moulds and impression mats correctly between use and storing (See Below on “how to clean my mould”).

  • How to I clean my moulds and Impression mats?

Clean moulds and Impression mats with soapy warm water and a soft sponge and rinse thoroughly between batches or prior to storing. You can dry the mould or mat quickly in an oven. Bake for 5 minutes at 300°F / 150°C. Do not use solvents, harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaning products to clean your mould or impression mat and do not place it in the dishwasher. Make sure your moulds are completely dry before storing them.

  • Can I put my mould or impression mat in the dishwasher?

Silicone moulds and impression mats are not dishwasher safe, and are susceptible to heat. Do not expose Silicone products to temperatures above 400° F / 204° C.

  • How long will my silicone mould and Impression Mat last?

Our moulds and impression mats are made using a commercial grade platinum silicone that will exhibit a very long life span of up to 45 years. Platinum cure silicone rubbers are resistant to UV and extreme temperature. They are resistant to moisture, one of the contributing factors to latex breakdown. In addition, cured platinum silicone will resist oils from handling, and even solvents. This being said, many things can affect the life span or your silicone mould or mat, such as how it is cleaned and stored, if it is used correctly with care, and how often it is used.

  • Is my mould/Impression mat food safe?

Yes! The ingredient levels in all of our silicone moulds and impression mats comply with 21 CFR 177.2600, rubber articles for repeated use subject to the total extractive limits as specified and published in the Code of Federal Regulations. To be approved, the user must also comply with all applicable FDA requirements.

Please note that if you use a mould or impression mat for a non-food purpose, DO NOT use that mould or mat again with food, as it will no longer be deemed to be food safe.
